Biography

Attorney Todd La Neve has been practicing law in West Virginia for 29 years and has defended client's rights in every county of the state. His practice is focused on criminal defense with extensive experience in impaired driving matters. Todd's practice also has a heavy focus on self-defense law and 2nd Amendment issues for both individuals and business entities. As a husband and parent of three children, Todd strongly believes in individual liberties and the right to be free from governmental overreach and the right to ensure the safety of one's family.

Litigation Experience

During his 29 years of practice, Todd has represented in excess of 3,000 clients in a variety of criminal and civil proceedings, trying many of those cases to verdict in both jury and non-jury trials. Building his practice on the idea that courtesy and professionalism produce better results for clients than a hostile approach to litigation, Todd has forged strong and important relationships all around the state with law enforcement, prosecutors, and judges, all allowing him to enjoy a good reputation with the people who impact the outcome of his client's legal matters.

Instructional Experience

Todd has taught various subjects related to DUI defense, criminal law, and 2nd Amendment issues at both the state and national level for a variety of organizations over the course of his career. He also lectures regularly to West Virginia citizens and attorneys on the topics of self-defense law, justified use of force, and firearms issues.
