Joseph A. Scrofano is a criminal defense and DUI trial attorney and the founder of Scrofano Law PC, which represents clients across Washington, DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia. A founding member of the DUI Defense Lawyers Association, he has built his practice around aggressive, science-informed DUI defense and has handled more than 1,500 cases since being licensed in 2008. Mr. Scrofano has presented at DUIDLA conferences in Nashville and Philadelphia on topics including winning DUI bench trials and trauma-informed sentencing. He is certified by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to administer the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests — the same training officers receive to make DUI arrests — and is a graduate of the Trial Lawyers College founded by Gerry Spence. He holds Martindale-Hubbell's AV-Preeminent rating (5.0/5.0) and has been named a Super Lawyer or Rising Star every year since 2015. Mr. Scrofano is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia.
