During college and law school, Chad began his legal career as an office courier and law clerk at Pope & Hudgens. After serving a judicial clerkship in the South Carolina Circuit Court, he returned to Pope & Hudgens to practice law in 2000. Chad was made a partner in 2005 and the firm name was changed to Pope Parker Jenkins, P.A. in 2018. A Union, S.C. native, Chad and his wife Melanie are members of Central United Methodist Church. Chad has served as a member of the local YMCA Board of Directors, an adjunct professor of Constitutional Law at Newberry College, and coached a local high school mock-trial team. He currently sits on the Newberry Downtown Development Association and the Administrative Board at his church. Chad enjoys hunting, bicycling and cooking in his spare time.

Litigation Experience

Chad has handled thousands of criminal cases throughout his career. He regularly appears in local, state level and federal courts for all types of litigation. He focuses his practice on criminal defense, particularly Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and other related offenses.
